We wear what we like. We draw what inspires us.
Steam Boat is a clothing brand born in Mallorca.
We move between fashion, illustration and whatever inspires us along the way. Sometimes the starting point is close to home; other times it comes from music, film, animation, a story, an aesthetic or simply an idea we want to turn into something we'd actually wear.
We're not interested in making everything fit the same theme. We want everything to feel like our way of seeing things.

THE BEGINNING
It started with an idea.
Steam Boat started as a small creative project. Over time, the project changed, but the name, some of the designs and the drive to keep creating stayed with me.
The name is a nod to Steamboat Willie and the animation style that has always been part of my visual references. What began with drawing gradually found its place in clothing, eventually becoming the Steam Boat you see today.
HOW WE DO IT
An idea doesn't end with the drawing.
For us, designing a piece isn't simply about putting an illustration on a T-shirt. We think about the garment, the colour, placement, proportions and how everything works once someone actually wears it.
Ideas can come from Mallorca, music, animation, film or anything else that catches our attention. Some become bold illustrations; others work better with something much simpler.
We don't want every piece to look the same. We want every piece to feel like Steam Boat.

We don't want to dress the same every day.
Steam Boat wasn't created to follow a single aesthetic. We like moving between different garments, styles and ideas, leaving room to try something new.
Some designs start in Mallorca. Others have nothing to do with it. An idea can come from music, film, pop culture, a story, an image or simply something that makes us think: that would look good on a piece of clothing.
Illustration is part of our identity, but the clothing behind it matters just as much: how it fits, how it's styled and how it becomes part of the way someone dresses.
That's why we'd rather not tell you how you're supposed to wear Steam Boat.

What's next is still waiting to be drawn.
Steam Boat keeps changing, experimenting and finding new ways to do things. New clothes, new ideas and whatever we discover along the way.
